Lawyers and Judges

A wise man once said we are very good lawyers for our own mistakes, but very good judges for the mistakes of others.

A wealthy woman, with a stunning view of the ocean, hires a lawyer who becomes her lover and private investigator. One day, she hears a rumor that the lawyer-turned-private detective is having an affair. She needs to know for sure.

She instead puts on a wig and sunglasses and waits for her husband to come home from work. When he walks in, she begins nodding and asking him questions about work. He never suspects what is happening.

He tells her all about his frustration with people in his office that have been doing their jobs wrong for months. He says what he told them should be enough for them to change their behavior, but they haven't taken any note of it.

She nods again and asks more questions about the problems he has been having in his office. He continues talking but then takes off his glasses to make sure they stay in place while he wipes his nose with his handkerchief. The wife finally realizes it was not her lover.
