Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it

A woman, who has the ability to make people see the beauty in things, is chosen to be a judge for a contest. The contest is for a new invention that can see the beauty in everything. The woman competes in the contest but loses because she sees beauty in everything.

As a high schooler, I was never able to see beyond the surface and find something worthwhile in every person. I would laugh at my friends’ good qualities and find a way to put their flaws into the spotlight. It took me a long time to realize that everyone is fighting battles that I can't see and that even though they may be different from me, everyone has value.

The protagonist of the story is on a trip with friends of different socioeconomic backgrounds. The group visits parks, museums, and various popular tourist attractions. Along the way, the protagonist sees how people interact with architecture, art, and other aspects of life in different ways. With every new experience, he sees how even his friends take for granted what he is seeing for the first time. Eventually, the protagonist decides to find some practical way of helping to make art and architecture more accessible to those who don't have access to it and their own unique perspective on life.
